Franchise History
The first player ever selected by the Toledo Mutthens in 1996's
dispersal draft was .
Toledo was added in 1996 when the league resumed activity
after the strike of 1995. Along with Newark and Jerusalem, the three teams shared players from the rosters of defunct
Tampa Bay, Waikiki, and Charleston.
The team was sold to veteran owner Paul Barbosa in 2000 and
renamed the Kentucky Hillbillies, then subsequently changed to Tijuana Banditos in 2002.
